strategic, consultative mindset for HR

It is 2022. The HR Business Partner (HRBP) role has been around for a while now. Yet, in the various HCI Strategic HR programs I facilitate, the biggest gripe amongst senior leaders has been that the majority of HRBPs are not able to or are simply not seen as the trusted business partner. They stress the need for HRBPs to adopt a strategic, consultative mindset.
Meanwhile, HR participants, including HRBPs lament that despite their title, they are laden with seemingly endless operational and transactional issues. They are aware that being a collaborative business partner comes with the role. However, their reasons for not doing so range from inexperience, to overwhelming ‘other’ priorities, ignorance on how to be strategic, as well as not having the latitude to do so.
HCI’s Strategic HRBP Certification Program begins with the end in mind – adopting a strategic mindset. It focuses on equipping participants with an ability to speak the language of the business for ‘strategic’ partnering. It also stretches participants way out of their comfort zone to better understand and analyze the income statement and balance sheet, contributing to their solid understanding of the business. Participants will also be equipped with consulting skills and the analytics value approach to create insights.
Let’s connect for an in-house or public program for this invaluable Strategic HR Business Partner Certification Program. The participant pack includes a practical toolkit and manual, in addition to various case studies and reference materials.
