HRBP reset!

Outline of my talk at the DC Psychology Reboot 2020 conference
When a role is made up of 4 weighted words as Human-Resources-Business-Partner it’s not surprising that it will take on multiple life forms. The HRBP role indeed comes with several variations from organization to organization.
The much referenced 90s Ulrich HR Model is said to have paved the way for business partnering, which is often called-out for its inability to elevate HR to the desired strategic level.
In his defense, the notion that HR should move exclusively to business partnering was rejected in his 2005 co-authored book, HR The Value Proposition.
HR has industriously elevated itself and time again proved its mettle. The current pandemic placed HR very much in the forefront.
This session will look at the evolving role of HRBPs with further paradigm shifts.
